The Electoral Commison of Zambia- ECZ has banned asking of questions during the its briefings.

This is after tempers flared at during the 11: 00 hrs briefing when Martha Mushipe, the UPND legal counsel demanded the immediate resignation of ECZ director Priscilla Isaacs and other officials, for allegedly being part of a syndicate that is manipulating results in favour of the PF.

ECZ spokesperson Cripin Akafuna failed to give a satisfactory explanation involving Samuel Chavula, the man who was arrested for allegedly tampering with results.

When the Commission came to give a brief around 15:00 hours, Akufuna announced the ban on questions.

“We have now changed the way of doing things. We shall not take any questions after the briefing. If you have any issues, you will have to find a way of engaging the Commission, write a letter or something,” said Akufuna.
