ECL DONATES TO KAWAMA CATHOLIC CHURCH

January 5, 2020January 5, 20202By Tamara Muswala:President Edgar Lungu has donated 50 thousand to Kawama Catholic Church in Kitwe towards the construction of a school at the parish.Foreign Affairs minister Joe Malanji presented the donation on behalf of the head of state.And Mr. Malanji said government is working hard to reduce the price of mealie meal.He said this when reacting to Kawama parish priest Father Elias Muma who expressed concern with the high prices of mealie meal.Mr. Malanji said government has started addressing the high mealie meal prices by opening up milling plants in different parts of the country.The minister also donated 5-hundred bags of mealie meal to be distributed to the vulnerable families of Kawama.He also gave women of Kawama parish 9-hundred catholic praying hands Chitenge materials and another 1-thousand 2-hundred wax chitenge.Mr. Malanji also promised to buy a keyboard and new uniforms for the two parish church choirs.
