EASTERN PROVINCE FLAGS OFF INPUT DISTRIBUTION

Eastern Province Minister PETER PHIRI has flagged off the provincial input distribution exercise under the Farmer Input Support Programme.

Mr. PHIRI assured the traditional leaders and the farmers in the province that the government will provide inputs to all beneficiaries.

And senior Eastern Province Agricultural Marketing Officer DINA PHIRI said most of the 194,545 eligible farmers in the province have already made their 400 Kwacha contributions.

Agriculture Minister, Reuben Mtolo recently announced that the 57 percent of input distribution has been achieved so far.
