Serenje Member of Parliament Maxwell Kabanda has challenged young people to be innovative if the country is to accelerate it’s developmental agenda.

Mr. Kabanda says youths in the county must unite for a common goal and not allow hate speech and violence to erode their potential of becoming future leaders.

He says young people should refuse to be used for violence but demand to be used as agents of positive change.

The lawmaker was speaking during the Sunday service at the united Church of Zambia Serenje main congregation .

Mr. Kabanda has also appealed to Zambians to stop ridiculing leaders in power adding that they must instead pray for those who are appointed to lead the nation at a particular time.

And addressing the congregation Minister in charge at Serenje UCZ Reverend Moses Zyambo  implored Zambians to lead exemplary lives.

Reverend Zyambo said Zambians need to honor God in all areas of their lives so that the country can prosper in return.
