Disaster Strikes in Kasenengwa as 3 Bridges are Washed Away

Disaster has struck in Kasenengwa Constituency with three temporal bridges washed away.

A heavy downpour has left most parts of Eastern Province cut off from the Chipata.

The bridges that were built by local communities are Katondo, Kasenengwa and Chiwayu.

With the bridges washed away the Kasenengwa constituents are cut-off   completely from Chipata and Mambwe districts.

Area Member of Parliament Sensio Banda had a check on the site and had an appreciation of the situation.

The Chipata-Msoro road is a strategic road which passes through Kasenengwa Constituency linking Chipata and Mambwe districts.

Banda said he would engage the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit.
