Delay In Paying Stipend To Students In Russia Resolved-Mushimba

The Ministry of Higher Education says the Delay in paying stipend to students in Russia has been resolved and new bank cards have issued to them.

Commenting on the letter Written by one of the students studying in Russia, complaining about Zambian students there under government scholarship not been given stipend for four 4 months, higher education minister, Brian Mushimba explained that there was a temporal hiccup with the bank which has since been rectified.

Mr Mushimba says a delegation was sent to Russia to resolve the problem as government holds its commitment serious to pay stipends to students on government sponsorship.

And Mr Mushimba says Payment of Loans to Students on Government Sponsorship at the University of Zambia and Copperbelt University has already been made.
