DECENTRALISED RATSA SERVICES COMING SOON-MUBANGA

The Road Transport and Safety Agency -RTSA- says the process of decentralising its services to local authorities will be implemented before the end of the third quarter of 2019.RTSA Head Public Relations Fred Mubanga says the Agency has done the groundwork and will start the implementation with Petauke, Mkushi and Kafue councils.He disclosed that the Agency has concluded the MoU’s with the three councils out of the sixteen targeted councils in the first phase.In an interview with ZNBC News in Lusaka, Mr. Mubanga said the Agency will soon finalize with the other local authorities.He observed that decentralizing RTSA services such issuance of road tax and testing of drivers to local authorities will take services closer to the people especially in rural areas.
