Debt Restructuring cheers Employers and Priests

United Federation of Employers in Zambia President HUMPHREY MONDE says the debt agreement Zambia reached with Bondholders marks a significant milestone in Zambia’s journey towards economic stability and development.

And In a statement to ZNBC News, Mr MONDE said the successful debt restructuring not only demonstrates the government’s commitment to fiscal responsibility but also paves the way for a more conducive business environment.

He said employers across various sectors stand to benefit from enhanced access to financing and increased consumer spending, fostering a climate conducive to business expansion and innovation.

And Catholic Priest in Chipata Diocese says people expect a lot of development from the government following the successful Eurobond debt restructuring programme.

On Monday , the Government  reached an agreement with Eurobond holders to restructure 3.5 billion dollars debt with bond holders.

Fr EVANS MITI, who is also Chipata Diocese Judicial Vicar urged citizens to work hand in hand with the government in fostering development.

Fr MITI told ZNBC News in CHIPATA that the government should ensure that all Zambians benefit from the national cake.
