Date for the draw of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers set

The Chipolopolo Boys will soon know their path to the Ivory Coast 2023 Africa Cup of Nations as the draw is set to take place in ten days.

This follows the Confederation of African Football’s (CAF) announcement of the date for the draws of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.

The draw for the group stages of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers will be conducted on Tuesday, 19 April 2022 at 17h30 GMT.

“CAF has announced the dates for upcoming draws of TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Cote d’Ivoire 2023 Group Stages, TotalEnergies CHAN Algeria 2023, and TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2022.

The road to Cote d’Ivoire TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations will gain momentum in June 2022 when the Group Stages commence.

The draw for the group stages will be conducted on Tuesday, 19 April 2022 at 17h30 GMT.

Zambia will be looking to return to the continental football showpiece for the first time since 2015.

CAF has also announced the date for the draws of the 2023 Algeria African Nations Championship (CHAN).

The official draw for the qualifiers will be on 28 April 2022. Time will be confirmed in due course.

The TotalEnergies CHAN 2023 qualifiers will kick off in July 2022.

The local Bullets have been to four CHAN tournaments with the best outing being 2009 when the Given Singuluma led side finished third.
