Daka could lead Leicester City against PSV

Zambia National team striker Patson Daka could lead the Foxes on Thursday when they welcome Dutch side, PSV Eindhoven in a UEFA Europa Conference League tie.

With Jamie Vardy out due to injury Daka and Kelechi Iheanacho are the only two out and out strikers for Brenden Rodgers.

Kelechi played in the 1-1 draw against Manchester United over the weekend hence Daka could be the one preferred in the Conference League.

Rodgers confirmed that Vardy is still a little far from his return as he still feels pain his knee.

“Vardy] is not [available]. It’s hard to put a timeline on it. He’s still feeling pain in the knee. He’s been out on the pitch, he’s running, but striking the ball is an issue so we’ve got to try and get to the bottom of that.”

Daka has also proved to be on a different level in Europe for Leicester City as he is already their all time top goalscorer in European competitions.

Daka has managed to score six goals in eight European games so far this season.

Leicester City host PSV in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday.

Kick off at the King Power Stadium is set for 21:00 CAT.
