Dad Fathers Baby With Biological Daughter

POLICE in Chipata have arrested a 48-year-old man for defiling his 15-year-old biological daughter and fathering a child with her, with the consent of the girl’s mother in a ritual aimed at making the family wealthy.

And police in Nakonde, Muchinga Province, have arrested a 37-year-old man for allegedly stoning his 25-year-old wife to death.
In the Chipata case, Eastern Province commissioner of police Alex Chilufya said in Chipata yesterday Lameck Sakala and his daughter has been engag-ing in an incestuous sexual affair between 2014 and 2017 with the consent of the girl’s mother.
Mr Chilufya said Sakala ended up impregnating his daughter, who has since given birth.
He said the defilement happened at Chalo Chata village, Chief Mkanda’s area in Chipata district.
“Sakala defiled the minor, who is now with a two-month-one-week-old baby,” he said.
Mr Chilufya said the child was coerced into incest by both parents as a means of making the family rich.
He said Sakala’s wife has since died.
Mr Chilufya said Sakala will appear in court soon.
In Muchinga Province, police commissioner Godwin Phiri said Christian Chikwe of Ntindi village, Chief Waitwika’s area, stoned his wife, Gladys Mwale, on Wednesday in Ntindi village during a quarrel.
He said Chikwe dumped Gladys’ body in Ntindi Stream.
“When some people from Ntindi village were going to town along the path which cuts across the Ntindi Stream, they were shocked to discover a dead body dumped in the stream,” Mr Phiri said.
He said police found broken pieces of burnt bricks at the scene of crime, at the couple’s house.
