COVID-19: ONE MORE CASE RECORDED

By Mwila Nsofu:Zambia has recorded another case of the COVID-19 bringing the total of confirmed cases to 29.Health Minister Dr. Chitalu Chilufya says the new case involves a Lusaka based man who travelled to Pakistan.Dr. Chilufya says One of the 29 covid-19 patients is severally ill and on Oxygen support, while the other patients are stable.He explained that the patient has an underlying Chronic disorder.Dr. Chilufya was speaking during a COVID -19 update in Lusaka.And Dr. Chilufya has appealed to all travelers that were on Kenya, Emirates Turkish and Ethiopian Airlines to remain in self -quarantine and report themselves to health experts.He also warned businesses that have been ordered to close by the Presidential directive that they risk having their trading licences revoked.And Chief Government Spokesperson Dora Siliya has called on all stakeholders to come on board and fight the pandemic.Meanwhile, Ms. Siliya said it is disappointing to get reports that some bars and other business entities that have been restricted are still operating.She said that some churches have also continued to operate for more than an hour which is against the regulations.Ms. Siliya said people must not create Shabeens or Churches in their homes.She said that parents must take this opportunity to be with families and said Government believes that it will win the fight against COVID-19.
