COVID-19 HEALTH PERSONNEL TO WORK ROUND THE CLOCK

Health Minister, SYLVIA MASEBO has directed health personnel in charge of COVID-19 vaccinations to work 24 hours in all health facilities across the country.

Ms. MASEBO explained that providing COVID -19 vaccination service 24 hours will help increase the number of people to be vaccinated ahead of the anticipated COVID19 fourth wave.

She urged Zambians to consider getting vaccinated to avoid being affected the deadly COVID-19 fourth wave that has hit some countries.

Ms. MASEBO was speaking when she officiated at the 2021 Men’s Health and Fitness awareness expo in Lusaka today.

She added that Zambians need to also be vaccinated for the country NOT to be put on the red list like other country.

Ms. MASEBO further said she is pleased that the vaccination rate has increased from 3 percent to over 10 percent since the re-launch of the COVID-19 vaccination programme by President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA.
