COSAFA U20: ZAMBIA BEAT MALAWI 2:0

Hosts Zambia have got off to a winning start at the 2018 Mopani Copper Mines Cosafa Under-20 Championship, beating Malawi 2 -NIL.
This was in a Group A’ opener played at Nkana stadium in Kitwe this afternoon.
A brace by substitute Prince Mumba was all the junior Chipolopolo needed to go top of Group A’ on three points.
Mumba opened the scores in the 63rd minute after a good combination of play between Chanda Mukuka and Mwiya Malumo in the 18 area.
Before Malawi could recover, Mumba was on target again in the 85th minute to seal Zambia’s victory.
The junior Chipolopolo are gunning to make amends for last year’s dismal outing where they were booted out in the first round.
Zambia’s next game is against D.R. Congo on Thursday, December 6, 2018
Earlier today in the opening match of the tournament, Angola played to a 1-all draw with Lesotho in Group C.
And tomorrow’s fixtures will see Zimbabwe taking on Botswana in a Group C’ early kick-off, while South Africa face Mauritius in Group B’ at 15:30 hours.
