COSAFA : CHIPOLOPOLO SUFFER SECOND DEFEAT

By Wilson Mulinda- Zambia soccer teamĀ  has lost its second consecutive match at the ongoing COSAFA tournament in South Africa after a 1 nil defeat against ESWATINI.

The CHIPOLOPOLO boys were undone by a GAMEDZE SANDILE goal in the 52nd minute.

CHIPOLOPOLO Coach MILUTIN SREDEJOVIC made several changes to the team that was beaten 2-1 by Lesotho on Thursday as he went in search of his first victory at the tournament.

But the changes proved futile as the frontline was wasteful in front of goal.

Eswatini looked more hungrier for a goal and threatened first in the 6th minute as SANDILE struck from range but his effort went over the bar.

SANDILE however made amends for his earlier misses and put his team in front with a sublime finish early in the second half.

MICHO brought on GAMPANI LUNGU and JUSTIN SHONGA as the Chipolopolo searched for an equaliser but Eswatini held on for the 3 points.

The defeat leaves Zambia at the bottom of group B without a win in their first two matches.
