COPPERBELT WINS PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The Zambia School Sports Association Interprovincial Athletics and Chess Competition has ended with team Copperbelt as Champions.

The three day event which was held at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola saw Southern Province taking an early lead, threatening the peace of Team Copperbelt.

And as the competition progressed, Lusaka, Central and Eastern equally proved to be possible title contenders but Team Copperbelt stood their ground and refused to let go of the trophy they have had since 2017.

Education Minister DOUGLAS SIAKALIMA is happy that a national team has since been constituted to represent the country at the Confederation of Southern Africa School Sports
Association, COSASSA, Athletics and Chess Competition to be hosted by Zambia at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
