Copper Queens arrive in Santiago, Chile ahead of two friendly contests

The Zambia Women’s National Team has arrived in Santiago, Chile ahead of Saturday’s international friendly match against La Roja Feminina.

The Copper Queens arrived in Chile on Thursday evening after an over 48 hour trip from Lusaka to Santiago, Chile.

Coach Bruce Mwape has traveled with a strong 20 member squad for the match that includes four foreign-based players in skipper Barbara Banda, Israel based Mary Mwakapila, and Spain based duo of strikers Rachel Nachula and Hellen Mubanga.

Zambia and Chile will lock horns in the first game on November 28th before concluding their tour with the second match on December 1.

The two international friendly matches are part of preparations for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games while Chile is preparing for their last gasp playoff with Cameroon to decide the final ticket for the Olympics.
