Copper earnings drop

ZAMBIA earned about K6 billion in July, a drop in revenue due to continued reduction in the price of copper on the global market.
The price was averaging US$6,248.20 per tonne in July from US$6,954.8 per tonne in June while in terms of export tonnage, the country’s major source of foreign exchange also witnessed a dip of 1.8 percent to about 90,400 tonnes.
