Congratulations to PF for well-deserved victories

Dear editor,
I WRITE to commend the Patriotic Front party for emerging victorious in all but one of the elections held on July 27, 2018.The party won the Lusaka mayoral, wrestled Chilanga Council Chairpersonship from UPND, all the newly created Eastern Province council chairmanship seats, except for one in North-Western by-elections and Western Province seat.
This is an indication that despite voter apathy, those who chose to vote have got trust in the ruling party.
To the elected, know that you are a servant of all the people in your catchment regardless of the political affiliation.
You should, therefore, aspire to fulfil your campaign promises during your tenure of office.
To the losers, job well done for putting a gallant fight and accepting the outcome of the results.
This is because there will always be one winner at a time and yours maybe just in the offing. Continue giving checks and balances without scorn and/or slander.
I also appeal to the electorate to hold the elected accountable and ensure they live up to their campaign promises.
