City fans want Kalunga out

SOME City of Lusaka supporters are calling for the resignation of board of trustees’ secretary Brian Kalunga.
The supporters  board of trustees yesterday held a meeting at woodlands stadium where the supporters aired the concerns.
And club chairperson Justin Zulu has assured of harmony between the executive and board of trustees.
The supporters unanimously agreed that Kalunga resigns from the board of trustees as he was not serving the interest of the club.
One of the supporters said they were not happy that Kalunga was serving as a board of trustee and also employed by the developer.
Chairperson of the board of trustees Christine Mulundika gave guidance that the matter will be taken to the board and a decision could not be made drastically.
Kalunga said the supporters had the right to air their views and was positive the matter will be resolved.
“People can talk, that’s the whole idea to meet and talk can’t say much but the future of City is bright as you can see from the infrastructure,” Kalunga said.
Zulu said they have resolved their issues with the board of trustees and roles have been defined.
Last week there was confusion at City with the board of trustees requesting to be registered as officials by the Football Association of Zambia.
It was also alleged that the developer was pocketing gate taking leaving the executive with no money to run affairs of the club.
“There is a mutual understanding between the executive and the board and roles have been defined. We have discussed and the board can’t be registered at FAZ,” Zulu said
Zulu further apologised to the developer Diego Casille for putting his name into disrupt.
“The developer has really helped the club and on behalf of City I apologies to Casille and his family their name was tarnished in the press,” he said.
Zulu explained that the developer has not handled any money but it was  a misunderstanding with Computickets.
“Computickets called us saying they had sent all the money in the developers account when in the actual sense they had sent the money in City account,”Zulu said
