CHURCH, GOVT TOLD TO COLLABORATE

Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Cathrine Namugala has called for a special collaboration between the church and Government.
Ms. Namugala says the church is a reservoir of wisdom that Government and other Civic leaders can tap into.
She says the church has for a long time provided counseling to both public and political leaders for the better of the country.
Ms. Namugala was speaking during a farewell church service for Reverend Lloyed Sikaundi Minister In-charge at the United Church of Zambia -UCZ- Trinity congregation today.
And Ms. Namugala urged Reverend Sikaundi to remain committed to God’s works and continue uniting people.
Meanwhile Acting Bishop Reverend Vincent Kageya called for humility when serving humanity.
Reverend Kageya said insults against each other will never build the country but words of peace and love will.
And Reverend Sikaundi who has retired after serving as a clergy for 14 years called on the church to continue praying for peace in the country.
He said the church should continue being relevant to the smooth running of the country.
