CHIYANGI NOT DISAPPOINTED

Green Eagles Football Club Head Coach Aggrey Chiyangi says he is not disappointed with his team’s debut appearance in the Confederation of African Football -CAF- Confederation despite being knocked out in the first round.
Chiyangi says he is impressed with players showing in the competition.
ZNBC’s Matimba Nkonje reports that Chiyangi said the team lost 2-1 to Nasr Athletic Hussein Dey of Algeria who are an experienced campaigner in the competition.
The Eagles coach said his team has learnt valuable lessons by participating in the inter club competitions adding that he had set the minimum target of qualifying to the pre-group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Meanwhile, Zambia National Service -ZNS- Deputy Commandant Major General Alick Kamiji who watched Eagles go down 2-1 said Eagles lacked experience in yesterday’s match but he was not disappointed with the team’s showing.
Major General Kamiji said he is hopeful that Eagles will put a good showing should the team qualify for next year’s inter club continental competitions.
In a related development, Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Vice President Rix Mweemba who was the delegation leader said he will lodge in a complaint with CAF over the bias officiating of the match by Tanzania match officials.
Mweemba however said the Eagles players showed a bit of nervousness and did not show some zeal to defend resulting into lack of concentration.
