Chiyangi blames loss to Lusaka dynamos on ‘blunt’ strike force

Green Eagles football club failed to break into the top four after a 1-0 Loss to Lusaka Dynamos in q Zambian Super League rescheduled week 10 encounter played on the 24th of December,2019 at the National Heroes Stadium.

A negative attitude and not being Clinical upfront is what led to the Kawale Boys defeat according to the Head Coach Aggrey Chiyangi.

“We started with a wrong attitude because in the first half we would have scored two easy goals but poor finishing, when you are playing a team that is de-motivated and then you miss clear Chances they gain confidence,” he said.

“It’s very disappointing because we never expected this if it was going to be the worst then it should have been a draw but losing at this point when were suppose to Jump to the third position it’s not good for the team,” he added.

Tapson Kaseba missed a number of chances and Chiyangi advised that he is a striker he needs to work on his finishing. Chiyangi further hinted at reinforcing the squad during the January transfer window.

“The rate that his missing chances that’s the biggest Concern he really needs to work very hard when you get Chances like that you need to burry them,” he explained.

“We have players we need to try by giving them a chance to play and see if they can do better than those that are there then as we go towards the end of the first round will see where we are getting it wrong so that we improve on it.”

The Choma Giants will be playing Kabwe Soccer Academy (KYSA) in the next fixture. Chiyangi says his side will not Underate the Kabwe based side.

“We are playing KYSA on Saturday it won’t be an easy game just like I told the players today that teams that are difficult to play are teams that are at the bottom because those teams always fight to make it right so as we go we won’t Underate them,” he said.

Green Eagles are currently 6th on the Premier League table after 14 games played earning 24 Points.
