Chisi optimistic about new season, targets champions league

Red Arrows Head Coach Chisi Mbewe is optimistic about the 2019/2020 football season and revealed that the club’s target is to qualify and compete in the CAF champions league.

Chisi told the ZamFoot Crew in an interview that the important thing was to prepare well for the upcoming season.

“The most important thing is preparations, the league will have eighteen teams so what is important is to prepare during this pre-season and the players we need because we need them to prepare for the 2019/2020 season,” he said.

“Our target is to compete in the champions league so we really need to work extra hard because it is not going to be easy but very Competitive Season, we need to stay focused and prepare adequately to attain our goal.”

Mbewe is also happy that James Chamanga renewed his contract and that his role will be useful to the club.

” Am very happy with the reinforcement of Hope and James chamanga renewing his contract, though we wanted to bring in four players we only managed to bring two,” he explained.

Red Arrows football club has kicked off their off-season tour with a 10 days training in kitwe. The Airmen missed out on Continental Football on the final day as Zanaco peeped them to second place in Stream A on goal difference.
