Chipolopolo set to shift base to Ivory Coast

The Chipolopolo Boys are set to leave for Ivory Coast following Tuesday’s 1-1 draw against Cameroon.

Avram Grant’s side have completely their pre-AFCON camp in Saudi Arabia.

The team will leave Jeddah for San Pedro clad in black suits with either green or orange ties.

Zambia will join Morocco and Tanzania in San Pedro.

DR Congo is expected to be the last Group F side to arrive in San Pedro.

Zambia will play DR Congo in the opening match on January 17, 2024.

The Chipolopolo are ranked sixth in terms of medals at AFCON.

Zambia came third in 1982, 1990 and 1996, and were second in 1974 and 1994.

The Chris Katongo captained won the trophy in 2012.
