Chipata Hosts Choova 2023

Over 65 Cyclists in Chipata have participated in the 2023 Choova Bicycle race which is aimed at promoting road safety.

The cyclists covered a distance of 52 kilometres within the Central Business District of Chipata.

Eight of the participants competed in a wheelchair race.

The event was held under the theme “Cycling to promote culture, tourism and enhancing road safety”.

Eastern Province Assistant Secretary CLEMENT CHILEMBO and Chipata City Mayor GEORGE MWANZA officiated at the event.

Zambia National Association for Persons with physical Disabilities Eastern Province co-ordinator KAFULA NANYANGWE says the participation of people living with disabilities will promote social inclusion in society.
