Chilangwa Asks Cavmont not to Close Branch

June 28, 2019June 28, 20193Luapula Province Minister Nickson Chilangwa has met Cavmont Bank Chief Executive Officer Peet Van Der Walt over the bank’s decision to close Mwense branch in the Province.Mr. Chilangwa wants management at the bank to rescind their decision to close the mwense branch.He told management at the bank that Mwense is poised for economic boom with investments that will create jobs that will support the operations of the bank.Mr. Chilangwa cited the opening of Mwense Trades Training Institute, the pending construction of the Kasomeno-Mwenda toll road as investments that will boost the province revenue base.Other investments include construction of the Luapula Cable bridge, new Mwense District Hospital, setting up of a multi facility economic zone among other investment as some of the economic activities taking place in Mwense District.Mr. Chilangwa who was flanked by General Education Minister David Mabumba who is also Mwense MP described the talks with Cavmont Bank as fruitful.
