CHIEFTAINESS MWENDA BACKS LUNGU FOR 2021

By Wilson Mulinda- Chieftainess Mwenda of the Tonga people of Southern province has backed President Edgar Lungu’s 2021 Presidential bid.

Chieftainess Mwenda says she will continue working with the Government of day to ensure her people benefit from the national cake.

The traditional leader was speaking when PF National Mobilisation Committee Member Bizwell Mutale paid a courtesy call at her palace in Chikankata District.

She said the chiefdom is going to support President Lungu’s presidential bid since the head of State indicated that he is still available for re-election in next year’s general election.

Chieftainess Mwenda said her chiefdom is appreciative of the various developmental projects the Government is undertaking, not only in Chikankata but also in other parts of the country.

And Mr. Mutale said President Lungu has demonstrated love to the people of Southern province by initiating various developmental projects.

Mr. Mutale said the people of Southern province need to support the PF if the area is to continue receiving meaningful development.

He said elected UPND councillors and members of parliament have failed to deliver to the expectations of the electorate.
