Chief Wants Agriculture, Mining to Be Compulsory

Chief MPHAMBA of the Tumbuka people in Lundazi district says agricultural science and mining should be made compulsory in both primary and secondary schools.

The traditional leader says agriculture and mining are the main drivers of the country’s economy.

And Chief MPHAMBA has also commended the government for making various strides to develop the country.

He said this in a speech read on his behalf by Mphamba Royal Establishment Spokesperson TELEMAN ZULU during the 2023 Kulonga Traditional Ceremony.

Eastern Province Deputy Permanent Secretary BEAUTY PHIRI says the government has concluded the construction of Lundazi and Msuzi Bridges.

Ms. PHIRI says the government will continue implementing programmes aimed at lifting the living standards of the people.
