CHIEF MUKUPA KAOMA ADVOCATES FOR PEACE

Chief Mukupa Kaoma of Lunte District has implored opposition political party leaders to emulate President Edgar Lungu in advocating for peace, unity and tolerance ahead of the 2021 general election.

He noted that it is pleasing to see President Lungu’s determination to ensure that the country remains peaceful.

Chief Mukupa Kaoma has since appealed to electorates to reject politicians advocating for violence ahead of the 2021 general elections.

Meanwhile, Chief Mukupa Kaoma has thanked government for implementing a number of developmental projects in his chiefdom.

The traditional leader made the remarks when Minister of National Guidance and Religious Affairs Godfridah Sumaili called on him at his palace in Lunte district.

Meanwhile, Reverend Sumaili bemoaned the abuse of social media especially by the young people in the country.

Rev. Sumaili who addressed a public meeting at Chitoshi Primary School said young people are in the habit of using social media to insult leaders.

The Minister said young people should endeavor to respect elders saying this is the only way the country will have responsible future leaders.
