South Africa based goalkeeper, Mwenya Cyril Chibwe believes Zambia still has a chance to qualify for the 2021 Cameroon AFCON tournament.

Chibwe is confident that the Copper Bullets can still qualify for the 33rd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations.

β€œYes, I do believe we have a chance we, however, need to work harder to achieve that goal,” he said.

Zambia has already played two games so far in the qualifiers and they lost both games.

Chibwe believes Algeria was the better side in the 5-0 bashing of the Chipolopolo Boys in Blida while against Zimbabwe at Heroes Stadium they were just not lucky.

β€œI believe Algeria was the better team on the day. With Zimbabwe I feel we could’ve won that game as we gave a great performance, luck just wasn’t on our side. We just have to pick up from that game,” Chibwe told the ZamFoot Crew in an exclusive interview.

Zambia has four games to turn their fortunes around starting with back to back games against Botswana but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all matches of matchdays 3 and 4 that were scheduled for March 2020 have since been postponed until further notice.
