New Congress Party leader Peter Chanda has condemned some opposition members of Parliament and civil society organisations who want to disrupt the mobile National Registration Card issuance exercise.
Mr. Chanda says it is surprising that some civil society organisations want to impose themselves to monitor the exercise, which is a preserve of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
He told ZNBC news in Lusaka that Civil Society Organisations registered to deal with electoral matters are only supposed to monitor elections.
And Mr. Chanda said as alliance partners for the Patriotic Front, they are happy that the ruling party is delivering what it promised the people during the 2016 general elections.
He challenged opposition political parties to offer constructive criticism to the ruling party, other than always being prophets of doom.
