CHAN second leg qualifier moves to Heroes Stadium

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) General Secretary Adrian Kashala has confirmed that the Association has written to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to move the second leg of the CHAN final round qualifier against Eswatini to the National Heroes Stadium.

Kashala has pointed out the fact that Lusaka gives a lot of support to the team hence the change. The FAZ GS confirmed that the decision was arrived at after discussions with the technical bench.

“The mission is not Complete we still have a lot of work to do we have ninety (90) more minutes to seal the deal so come the 19th of October we have with the technical bench that they needed the game to be played in Lusaka,” he said.

” obviously because of the support and traditionally we have found winning ways at Heroes Stadium m, so we have already informed CAF about the change of venue, so we should be bringing our game Heroes Stadium here in Lusaka,” he added.

Kashala who was the delegation leader for the trip to was delighted with the narrow win over eSwatini and expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the players.

“Our mission was accomplished after we beat the host by a lone goal overall the players conducted themselves very well by putting in their best to give us the much-needed results, the technical Bench did what they could,” he said.

Zambia beat Eswatini by one goal to zero through an Amity Shamende second-half strike. The Copper Bullets will host eSwatini on the 19th of October 2019 for the last and Final Round.
