By the ZamFoot Crew | December 8, 2019

Nkana head coach Beston Chambeshi has left the club on mutual consent the ZamFoot Crew can exclusively reveal.

Chambeshi has been out of favor with the management at the club for some time now and was rumored to be on is way out as far back as during the transitional league.

Chambeshi joined Nkana back in June 2017 from Lumwana replacing Zeddy Saileti who left the club on the seventh position with 16 points.

Chambeshi joined Kalampa at the back of the brilliant performance of the Junior Chipolopolo team which saw Zambia storm the quarter-finals of the Under-20 World Cup in South Korea after winning their maiden AFCON title.

This was his second stint with the club in six years. Back in 2015, Chambeshi was fired by the club due to the underperformance of the team. The dismissal came two days after Nkana’s 3-0 away loss to Lusaka Dynamos at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka.

Manfred Chabinga who has had an impressive run on the absence of Chambeshi when he was in camp with the U23 is expected to take over in the interim capacity.

Ghanaian coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor and former Simba boss Patrick Aussems have been rumored to be among those interested in the Nkana top Job.

For Chambeshi reports in Tanzania have put him among the front runners to take over from Aussems at Simba.
