Chamanga linked with Arrows as Chisi reveals desire to work with the 2012 AFCON winner

Red Arrows coach Chisi has revealed that he would love to work with former Chipolopolo striker James Chamanga should the deal be finalized for him to join the Airmen.

Chisi Mbewe said he had no idea of the situation concerning the rumoured move but admitted that the 2012 AFCON winner had been training with his side for the last two weeks.

” I can’t comment on that at because at the moment I don’t know what’s happening. If he is available, He is one player i would love to work with because he has a lot of experience of playing at the highest level and would bring a lot of morale in the team,” he said.

According to social media reports James Chamanga has joined the Chelstone based outfit on a three months short contract.

It’s not clear what happened in China where he was offered a Technical Director after retiring for active football early last year.

Should Chamanga Join he will help easy the worries of the Airmens gaffer in relation to his front line . Arrows were held to a goalless draw by Kabwe Warriors this afternoon at Nkoloma Stadium and Chisi highlighted lack of natural strikers as one of the reason to the failure to burry the clear cut chances his team had.

” Failing to score is worrying but most of our strikers are injured . Lubinda had a POP which has just been removed while Patrick Ngoma and Joseph Phiri are still out with injuries. We just trying to Psych the players we have,” He said.

Arrows are fourth in Stream B with 10 points from eight games and will welcome the log leaders Zanaco on Sunday, A side that beat them 4-2 on match day one.
