CHALIKOSA CALLS IMPROVED NUTRITION

Mpika Member of Parliament Sylvia Chalikosa has called for improved nutrition at household level.

Ms. Chalikosa said this when Live Well, General Manager Alexandra Burrough paid a courtesy call on her today.

Ms. Chalikosa commended Live Well for recruiting and supporting a network of community health entrepreneurs to promote healthcare at household level.

She added that as Member of Parliament for Mpika Central, she will support the activities of Live Well as they are also helping improve people’s livelihoods.

And Ms. Burrough says her organization has been recruiting and training high quality community health entrepreneurs in Muchinga Province since 2016.

Ms. Burrough says Live Well, which is affiliated to Care International is innovating and adapting a business model that is sustainable to help reduce dependence on donor funding.

She added that her organization will provides income generating opportunities to attract, retain and incentivise community health entrepreneurs.
