CAF Confed Cup: The bankers host Pyramids

Zanaco host Egyptian side Pyramids in a Group A CAF Confederations Cup match at Lusaka’s Heroes Stadium on Sunday.

The bankers will be seeking their first win in seven matches after going on a run of six draws in the league.

Kelvin Kaindu’s side impressed with a defensive set up in the opening group match against Club Sportive Sfaxien of Tunisia despite suffering a defeat.

At Heroes, Zanaco is expected to show mslre attacking threat with fit again Emmanuel Manda set to offer cover.

New signings Tshite Mweshi, Moses Phiri and Chisamba Lungu will need to come to the party against the North Africans.

Congolese workaholic midfielder Lasssa Kiala will be joined by Kelvin Kapumbu and Boyd Musonda in the engine room.

Kiala will be at the apex of to that triangle and will be encouraged to push forward.

Ghanaian defender Kevin Owusu will continue his partnership with rising star Chris M’hango at the back.

The 2016 Zambian Champions will be without the injured duo Mousa Souleymanou and Ackim Mumba. Star winger Felix Bulaya is not in the squad having featured Red Arrows in the same competition earlier on.

Pyramids are not push overs as they currently a point ahead of Cairo giants Al Ahly and Zamalek in the domestic league.
