Border govt agencies to be streamlined

The Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry says it is in the process piloting the Concept of reducing Government agencies at Border point from the current 18 to 6.

Currently, the number of government agencies varies from border to border according to the size.

Ministry of Commerce Director for Human Resource Department NALITUBA MWALE says the concept will be piloted at Kazungula and later at Chirundu One stop border post.

Ms MWALE was speaking at the start of the Zambia One Stop Border Posts upgrade project training, on One Stop Border Posts Principles and Electronic Single window in Chipata.

And, Zambia Border Post Upgrading Project Coordinator, SIMON NG’ONA said the project will also improve efficiency in border posts.
