BLUE Oak Agro Limited has sued Chimsoro Farms Limited in the Lusaka High Court demanding payment of US$26,363.10 for agriculture inputs supplied during the 2016/2017 farming season.

According to a statement of claim filed in the principal registry, Blue Oak Agro Limited stated that between June 27 and September 9, 2016, it supplied prominent farmer Costain Chilala’s Chimsoro with agricultural inputs amounting to US$43,964.00 and that payment was to come from proceeds of the sale of wheat, maize and soya beans from the 2016/2017 harvest season.

Blue Oak stated that Chimsoro made payments totalling US$17,200.90 after the 2016/2017 farming season, leaving the balance of US$26,363.10.
