Bizarre sex demands ends marriage for Ndola couple

A WOMAN of Nkwazi Township has narrated to the Chipulukusu local court how her marriage of 24 years soured after she refused to give in to her husband’s bizarre demands of oral and anal sex.

This a matter where Kasabushi Mapulanga,40, sued Emmanuel Kasongo,43,saying that her marriage had broken down irretrievably due to Kasongo’s barbaric behaviour of wanting to insert his manhood in her mouth each time they were having sex.

The couple got married in 1992 and they have six children.K5 was paid as bride price.

Mapulanga told senior local court presiding magistrate Agness Mulenga that all was well from the time they got married but that problems started in January last year, when Kasongo came home with pornographic material which was saved on his phone and demanded that they perform sex according to what they watched on the phone.

She told Ms Mulenga that when she refused to this, Kasongo insisted that they do as all couples did have oral and anal sex at some point and that he even chased her from their matrimonial bedroom forcing her to spend nights in the kids’ bedroom.

“It was on January 30, 2015, when my husband came home at night. And when we went to sleep, he asked that we watch the sex movies which he had saved on his phone, where white people were having oral and anal sex, and after we watched, he suggested that we also do the same but I refused. But when we used to have sex, Kasongo would hold my mouth in an attempt to insert his manhood in there by force,” Mapulanga said.

Mapulanga also told Ms Mulenga that Kasongo had denied her sex for a long time due to her refusal to give in to his demands.
She also told the court that Kasongo was a drunkard and disrespectful man who insulted her publicly and that he was also in the habit of telling their elderly children that he did not enjoy sex with me because I was shapeless.

“Your honour, he insults me in public, and when the mob which watches him do that laughs, then he is happy. He also told my elderly son that he had stopped enjoying sex with me because my buttocks were small, and at times, we spend nights in the neighbour’s toilet with the smaller kids when he chases us out of the house,” she said.

But Kasongo objected to the divorce saying that he still loved his wife and suggested that the court helps them reconcile.

He told the court that the reason he insulted Mapulanga publicly was because he found her with charms which she wanted to use on him in her hand bag, to which Mapulanga disputed.

Kasongo even presented the charms before court.

In submission, Mapulanga insisted that all she needed was a divorce as she was scared she would die on the hands of Kasongo as he was in the habit of beating her and throwing her belongings outside the house.

Ms Mulenga granted the couple divorce and ordered Kasongo to surrender their house to Mapulanga and the children and also pay K500 per month as maintenance fee for the children.
