Biston Banda awaiting specialized treatment seven months after suffering a knee injury

Former Zambia U-23 striker Biston Banda is in need of specialized treatment, the ZamFoot Crew understands

Banda who suffered a knee injury over seven months ago was supposed to leave for either India or Kenya four months ago but is yet to do.

According to ZamFoot Crew sources close to the player the club has been dragging it’s feet despite promising to take him to undergo specialized treatment on his right knee.

“He is supposed to be in Kenya or India for his specialized knee surgery but the club is yet to fulfil their promise to take him.

“The player is growing frustrated with the situation as the people who are supposed to facilitate his treatment keep giving him stories and changing dates for four months now.”

The youngster joined Abayellow on Christmas eve of 2019 penning a three year deal with the Kitwe based outfit.

The striker came to prominence in the 2019 transitional league when he helped himself to seven goals and was an ever-present figure in the Circuit City.

Following the relegation of Circuit City, Banda trekked to Ndola to join Buildcon though he has yet to get into his stride.

Biston was also part of Coach Beston Chambeshi’s U23 national team squad that suffered a premature exit at the U23 AFCON tournament in Egypt in November, 2019.
