“BE PATIENT WITH ECZ”

The Zambia Reconstruction Organization -ZAMRO- has appealed to Zambians to be patient with the Electoral Commission of Zambia -ECZ- as it carries out its mandate of vote counting.

ZAMRO Executive Director EDWARD NSAMA says people should avoid premature celebrations as doing so can endanger and affect the Commission’s ability to do its work.

Mr. NSAMA said this in a statement to ZNBC News.

Meanwhile, Mr. NSAMA has observed that the voting process in the 2021 General Election largely went on smoothly.

He said the peace and unity during the voting process reflects the democratic tenets which the country is renowned for.

Mr. NSAMA said ZAMRO’s evaluation of the elections is based on the monitoring of the election process through monitors deployed by the organization across the country.

And Mr. NSAMA adds that the presence of defense and security personnel deployed to maintain order contributed to the generally peaceful process.
