Zanaco Football club will this afternoon make a short trip to Nkoloma stadium to face the policemen Nkwazi football club for a tricky Lusaka derby.

Both teams are enjoying some good form each recording a win and two draws in their past three games. Speaking to the ZamFoot crew, Zanaco coach Chris Kaunda said his charges are ready and God willing they will carry the day.

“It will be an interesting match, we started on Monday focusing on the Nkwazi game and the players have relaxed very well though we want them to play, I believe we just leave everything in the hands of God because our plans are not his plans but we would love to win this game at all cost we need this game,” Kaunda said.

When asked if he was under any pressure considering that they are sitting in the second position Chris had this to say “We are not under any pressure, each team has to win on its own, collecting points from any team is very important we don’t mind what Zesco is doing or any other teams we should mind our own business,” The soft-spoken Chris explained.

Meanwhile the sensational Zanaco captain Ziyo Tembo said that playing Nkwazi has always been a challenge but they were prepared.

” The preparation has always been fantastic and everyone is looking forward to the game, every game has its challenges playing Nkwazi from the way back has always been a difficult game but I think we have worked on that, and tomorrow it is a different approach of the game, we just have to go and exploit the spaces they will leave behind we just have to go and fight for the three points,” Ziyo said.

A win for Zanaco will take them to the summit on the log temporarily and depending on the result of the Zesco United game against Lumwana Radiants at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Thursday it can last even longer.
