ASSEMBLY TUMBLE, KANSANSHI AND GOMES WIN, KYSA TOO GOOD AND SHOCKERS LOSE FOR THE FIRST TIME

We are nearing the half way mark in the zones with one round of games before week 15. Round 14 produced another set of results that were shocking and interesting in all zones with some favorites being shocked and in other results the expected continued.

ZONE ONE


Assembly were surprisingly beaten by Police College while Young Green Buffaloes continued with the fine form and are only behind with two points from leaders Assembly.

T was a good Wednesday for eastern provinces as all of them posted wins with Chipata City Council beating Young Nkwazi while Petauke United were too good against Paramilitary. Katete Rangers were 1-0 winners against Kafue Celtic.

ZONE TWO

The two horse race continued with both Kansanshi Dynamos and Gomes picking up maximum points with both games played in North Western Province. The Ndola outfit were in Kalumbila were they beat Trident 2-1 while league leaders were too good in Solwezi against FQMO.

The much awaited game between Konkola Blades and Indeni in Chililabombwe ended in victory for Blades who occupy fourth position with Indeni remaining third but the serious worry will be the difference between the top two who are on 33 points and the third paced Indeni who are 8 points behind.

The biggest winners in zone three are KYSA who beat Riverside 2-0 with the closest rivals in ZAMBEEF losing in Muchinga against Muchinga Blue Eagles, it is a big win for KYSA who now lead the zone with five clear points.

ZONE FOUR

There is no longer a team unbeaten in zone four after ZESCO Shockers were beaten by New Monze Swallows on Wednesday and that loss has revived the chances by Young Green Eagles who beat Kascol Rangers in Mazabuka to move within a pint with the league leaders.

Yeta were another big winners of the day who beat Livingstone Pirates 1-0 at their backyard to register their third win of the season much to the disappointment of Livingstone Pirates followers.
