Asanovic eyes COSAFA title

Chipolopolo Head Coach ALJOSA ASANOVIC says he is now focused on winning the COSAFA Championship following Zambia’s qualification to the final of the tournament.

ASANOVIC says the team showed character after recording a 4-3 win over Senegal in the Semi finals of the regional competition.

In his post-match analysis, ASANOVIC said he is happy with the team’s performance despite conceding three goals.

The Chipolopolo trainer further said the game was not easy for his team as they faced a tough opponent, who was prepared for the game.

And, the Senegalese Coach PAPE THIAW said he is happy with his team’s performance despite the loss.

THIAW attributed the defeat to lack of experience and hailed his players for the fighting spirit.

Zambia will tomorrow on Sunday, 17th July take on Namibia as they chase their 6th COSAFA title.

Namibia qualified to the Final following a 1-0 win over Mozambique.
