Arrows shoot down Lusaka Dynamos as Kansanshi hold Eagles

Red Arrows beat Lusaka Dynamos to extend their lead at the summit of the Zambian Super League.

The Airmen opened an eight point lead following a 1-0 win over Lusaka Dynamos on Saturday thanks to a Ricky Banda first half strike.

The win takes Chisi Mbewe’s men to 55 points from 27 games played, eight adrift ZESCO United and Green Eagles in second and third place respectively.

At the lowver half of the table, Chambishi have moved up to fifteenth place following a 2-1 win over Buildcon.

Innocent Kashita and Andy Boyele scored for the hosts while Ronald Olaki scored the consolation goal for Team Kopala.

In Ndola, Indeni recorded their first win over Forest Rangers in seven Super League games to end a six match winless run.

Clement ‘Jakuzi’ Mulenga scored the only goal of the game to secure maximum points for the Oilo Men.

Ian Bakala took charge of his first game as Forest Rangers head coach and starts his life in Ndola on a losing note.

Kansanshi Dynamos and Green Eagles played out to a goalless draw.

The Kawale Boys missed a chance to reclaim second position on the table as ZESCO United are not in action this weekend.

In Kabwe, Debutant Tresor Ndaya scored in the 75th minute to give the Magnificent People’s team a well deserved 1-0 win.

The win takes Kabwe Warriors to eighth place with 36 points.
