Army Assures Livingstone Residents Of Security

By Justine Akakulubelwa

Zambia Army Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff, GEOFFREY ZYEELE, has assured Livingstone residents of continued peace and security in the Tourist Capital.

Major General ZYEELE says the army has interests in various strategic issues happening between the two borders, of Livingstone and Kazungula.

He says the army is pleased to note that, so far, there have not been many issues affecting national security to worry about.

General ZYEELE has however appealed to the Livingstone district administration to continue working with the army officers in the district in matters of national security.

The Zambia Army Deputy Commander said this when he paid a courtesy call on Livingstone District Commissioner EUNICE NAWA.

And Ms. NAWA said the district administration has never been disappointed by the army unit.

She pledged continued support to the Zambia Army operations in the district.
