ARCHBISHOP IGNATIUS CHAMA SPEAKS ON GASSING

Archbishop Ignatius Chama of the Kasama Archdiocese has expressed concerns over the recent attack of individuals suspected of involving themselves in the gassing by the community in some parts of the country.Archbishop Chama says it is wrong for the community to met out instant justice mob on people suspected of involving themselves in such actsThe Archbishop says people should not take the law into their own hands but  should instead be reporting such cases to police.He explained that it is disturbing for the community to met out instant justice mob on suspects by burning them alive in the presence of everyone including children.Archbishop Chama was speaking in Kampamba Village in Mungwi district where he was officiating at the upgrading of St. Monica’s Sub Parish into a full Parish.He has also appealed to those who are gassing people’s houses to stop and embrace good Christian morals.Archbishop Chama has further advised Zambians to support the police and allow them to do their work professionally without interference from the public.
