AMBASSADOR SALUKATULA PRESENTS CREDENTIALS

Zambia’s Ambassador to Sweden Rose Salukatula has presented her Letters of Credence to President of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda.

President Nauseda congratulated Ambassador Salukatula for the appointment as Ambassador of Zambia to Lithuania and expressed hope that she would take the opportunity to increase trade and cooperation between the two countries.

He also called for a strong partnership with Zambia in the fight against COVID-19.

The President of Lithuania said this during the virtual ceremony at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Stockholm.

President Nauseda said Zambia is a long-term partner of the EU and a peaceful country that ensured stability in the region by hosting refugees.

And Ambassador Salukatula  expressed gratitude to the European Union for partnering with Zambia in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.

She said Zambia has put sound measures to contain the spread of the pandemic.

Ambassador Salukatula is accredited to the Nordic and Baltic region.
