AIR TANZANIA RESUMES FLIGHTS

Air Tanzania has resumed flights to Zambia after a recess due to the covid-19 pandemic.

And Zambia Airports Corporation Limited Director Airport Services AZZAAM BVULANI says the resumption of flights by Air Tanzania is a sign of confidence for the public health measures that the two governments have put in place.

Mr. BVULANI says the resumption of flights will open up the economy in Zambia and the region.

He says the corporation is still in discussion with other airlines to increase the frequency of flights and resumption of flights for those that have not resumed yet.

Mr. BVULANI was speaking shortly after Air Tanzania inaugural flight landed at Kenneth Kaunda international Airport in Lusaka.

Meanwhile, Air Tanzania Company Limited Station Manager for Lusaka, DOMINIC LOUIS said the Airline is happy to come back on the Zambian market after the recess.

Mr. LOUIS said the last flight to Zambia was at the end of March 2020.
